Tuxedo Event Services is a family-owned small business dedicated to creating jobs, experiences, and memorable events in our hometown of Houston, Texas. Founded by husband-and-wife team JP and Ashley Morgan, Tux was born from a shared love of the event industry and a simple belief: we can make events easier.
Ashley grew up in a large Jewish-Italian family where she learned early that almost any occasion is a good reason to celebrate. After earning her degree in Communications from The University of Texas, she began her career planning events at one of Houston’s premier museums. Over the years, Ashley led teams through an incredible range of events—from Super Bowl parties and fashion shows to holiday celebrations, retirement dinners, and everything in between. What she loves most about the industry is the variety: every event presents a new challenge, a new environment, and a new opportunity to create something special.
Although JP was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he has called Houston home since the age of two—and comes from a proud family of LSU Tigers. While attending the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership at the University of Houston, JP accepted an opportunity that would launch his career in the events industry. He went on to oversee some of Houston’s most notable events for a leading turnkey catering and event company. With a focus on catering operations, JP and his teams regularly produced events in many of Houston’s finest museums, venues, and private residences. Like Ashley, he thrives on the challenges of the industry, particularly the unique logistics and problem-solving that come with producing events in a different location almost every time.
Between them, JP and Ashley bring nearly a decade of management experience and approximately 5,000 events to Tuxedo Event Services. Now, they’re excited to bring everything they’ve learned to their hometown. At the heart of Tux is a simple goal: to spend our time doing what we love while helping others along the way.
